Hi all,
I thought this might be useful for all those of you looking to find your local freecycle group. This list all in the uk and shows how many members each have. I know there has been some very good explanations as to what freecycle is posted here, so I won't attempt to do so again.

We're not allowed to put pets on our Freecycle but we can 'advertise' them in the cafe. The reason being that we are only supposed to put things on there that might otherwise end up at the tip and we hope that pets/children won't end up there. On the other hand when it has been a really trying day.....:rolleyes:True wealth lies in contentment - not cash. Dollydaydream 20060 -

You've just bought back a horrible memory of when we lived in a little Spanish village.
We walked past a dustbin (collected daily by the way) and heard noises. Being a nosey english couple we investigated and found 4 tiny newborn kittens that someone had thrown out. OMG, we were soooo angry that anyone could be so cruel and heartless, to imagine them being crushed and injured in this way didn't bear thinking about. Anyhow, we raced around the whole day trying to find a cat that had milk, to no avail, and in the end, as we just couldn't keep them alive ourselves and wouldn't allow them to starve to death my OH had to do the terrible deed - but quickly. At this time there was no RSPCA or vets prepared to help. It was truly a terrible, horrible time.
But..... we let all the locals know how disgusted we were with their behaviour, and things slowly changed because we were liked and more importantly I think, respected.
Sorry I've gone off thread, but the images, although over 10 years ago came flooding back :mad:0
