6. Top Secret! If I was being cryptic before, then this one is off the charts as it's something that hasn't been discussed with anyone other than a single person in the world at the moment. There's a plan being built just now but it's extremely sensitive and could cause unholy hell if it breaks loose. I'm all for a bit of chaos if it proves to serve my purpose but, whilst nothing illegal, immoral or unethical, I do have my concerns about it as it could be seen in a certain light and it wouldn't be a light I'd bask in. It needs a bit more thinking over and a discussion planned for next week to see if and where we take it any further.
So obvious Billy. dooh nibor puts in a secret bid for Rangers, then moves Celtic to the vastly superior Ibrox :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hi Gally,
What a brilliant idea!! I could well do a job as the Chairman of Rangers. If nothing else, I'm a little more eloquent than the current incumbent. It's pretty grating listening to him. That'll be the overall dream. G51 would be a lovely wee site for the big house!! They'll never see me coming!!

Hi Billy,
Glad to hear that your dooh nibor project is off to a flying start.
Hope your enthusiasm and brilliant ideas will motivate fellow MF Wannabes to capitalise on the current sluggish housing market.
Just out of curiosity, how long did it take for you to type up this post?Mortgage: @ Feb. 2007: £133,200; Apr. 2011: £24,373; May 2011: £175,999; Jun 2013: ~£97K; Mar. 2014 £392,212.73; Dec. 2015: £327,051.77; Mar. 2016: ~£480K; Mar. 2017 £444,445.74

Hi US,
Doohnibor is fair rocking! We've locked down 5 and are now considering a sixth. Will stretch us good and proper so probably best not to go for it but it's a properly decent house. On the fence with it at the moment.
My streams of consciousness (in direct contravention of my promise of brevity) normally ramble on for about 10-15 minutes. That particular nonsense was 35 minutes in the making.

Evening All,
What a week! Brief update on doohnibor as that's all getting very real now. Squalor mortgage in place (offset piece to be finalised - still not sure why those don't get set up together. Each business will have it's own account and all will be geared toward offsetting the mortgage. In our six properties, we've got a load of sad tales that I always knew I'd have trouble with (1 death and inherited house, 1 poor old boy going into care, 1 guy who can't afford his house, 2 couples splitting up and a couple who made a mess of their property chain and who desperately need to shift their place). Each property has a minimum of 20% as a discount from current value and our collective deposits now number £100,000. Our equity though is at 40% in all the rental properties so the next phase (in 6 months) is to put our offset back together and take the equity in each rental property to 75% of value. We'll need to stick in a bit of our own money into that to make it work - back to the spreadsheet to find out what that shortfall is...
At this rate, 2 bad things loom on the horizon. We'll need to perhaps consider withdrawing our offer to take people with us to Vegas and start charging Moyra's mum and dad interest on their loan.
Cheers,

All coming together Billy :T. I wish we had like-minded people near us. (Maybe then I wouldn't be about to go to a smelly house to clean it, despite the water being switched off till the heating engineer can fix the leak when he replaces the boiler
)

You've always been so generous up till now but you need to put your own needs 1st. As for Moyra's mum & dad, well maybe they need to face up to their responsibilities - while you make it to easy for them there is no real incentive to get their act together.
Be prepared from some fallout though .
Good luck.
Off to pack the spare kettle and radio. Still, a morning listening to Danny Baker and Graham Norton is not so bad :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
