Have you considered a contract phone ? I got the Wildfire last weekend from E2save (free) on contract with Tmobile at £15 per month for 24 months with 9 months line rental free and £46 cashback from Quidco.
As long as it's kept within the monthly allowance and I follow the free line rental terms it's going to cost £179 over 2 years with 300 minutes, 300 text and 1GB free web every month , best price on PAYG I could find was with Vodafone at £140 but it was out of stock , I'd imagine a lot of people would spend much more than £39 in 2 years on PAYG.0 -
Alternatively you can get the phone free on contract with Vodafone...
£15.00 a month for 18 months, unlimited texts, 300minutes and 5GB of data every month. Great deal, and such a good phone.... I love it!0 -
The phone is for a 13 year old christmas ,so a contract isnt an option as I,m sure to end up with a huuuuuuge bill.0

I am so tempted by this offer, but having never entered into a redemption offer before I nervous after hearing all the horror stories that such offers seem to end in:eek:. Can anyone talk me through the process and what pitfalls i may fall into and encounter. So basically should i stay clear of such an offer or go for it with a bit of back up info from hopefully you all on here?0 -

When working out which bill to send in remember month 1 is the month you purchased, regardless of the date you ordered i.e. if you purchased on the 28th January 2010 your 6th bill required would be dated in June 2009:
Month 1 - January 2010 (the month you purchased)
Month 2 - February 2010
Month 3 - March 2010
Month 4 - April 2010
Month 5 - May 2010
Month 6 - June 2010 (this is month 6)
For a gift value of £50 or less we require the bill you receive in your 6th and 9th month.
For a gift value of £51-£100 we require the bill you receive in your 6th, 9th and 12th month.
For a gift value over £100 we require the bill you receive in your 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th and 18th month.
The required bill needs to be sent to Cashback Claims, Admail ADM4118, Loughborough, LE11 1YX and must be received within 60 days from the date on the bill.
We recommend you send this by recorded delivery as we cannot be held responsible for lost items or claims that arrive outside the qualifying period. We also recommend you keep your proof of postage.
Please refer to the cashback terms and conditions for further information.
That's as much as I know as I've never had a contract on this system before , as long as you stick to the terms I'd imagine the cheques will turn up.0 -

Same situation for me , the phone's for a 14 year old although I'll be keeping a close eye on the remaining allowance on the account online , if it looks as if it'll go too far over then I'll tell her to ease up on the usage until the next months allowances.
Maybe you could use the contract sim yourself and put a PAYG sim in the Wildfire ?0
