Interest rates are not the only thing that affects inflation. Having the gov stop printing the stuff like it's going out of fashion would be much more effective."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

i know a 0.25% doesn't sound much and maybe and extra 20 pound a month doesn't sound alot. but my parents mortgage recently raised by 18 pounds a month. not a lot. but my dad is 60 in very poor health but still works. he has a small mortgage , but when he only earns a few hundred a month it is alot. like he said , he wishes his income would raise by 18 pounds a month. becasue it not just the mortgage that has gone up , elec has and gas etc. thank fully my dad is extremly careful with money and always sorts it out. but it easy to see how one little rise can make things start to slide with a families monthly out goings.0

It really has. I rarely shop for anything other than food these days. And I have been this way since college. Which is 20 years ago now nearly! Yes we have a dvd, tv, computer etc. But they only get replaced when they go bang. It would never occur to me to think, oh dvd is 2 years old, time to get a new one
.
I really hope that people do come to their senses.
best of luck all
