Seeking Advice Template Letter

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if anybody has the template for the seeking advice letter?

I can only find the templates for holding action or a token payment.

Is the holding action letter not the one you need? I thought it said something along the lines of "please hold recovery action while I seek advice". Then you send the offer one once you've worked out what you can pay.

You could always tweek the letter to say what it is you want to get across.


Ok I found this one:

Dear Sirs

Account No/Reference No: xxxxxxxx

I am writing to inform you that I am seeking advice and assistance regarding my current financial predicament, which does mean I am presently in financial difficulty. To this end, I would appreciate if you could hold any action on the above account for a period of at least 28 days.

Also, during this period, could you please freeze interest and/or any other charges that may be accruing on the account as additional debt will not help either of us, long term.

I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

Excellent I will use that one and tweak it a little bit, just basically want to get across that I would like them to hold action whilst I seek advice from cccs/cab re: dmp.
