Swedish Wallander DVD

Hello

I was wondering if anyone knows where to get the Swedish Wallander series 1 on DVD? My mum would like it for Christmas as she has been enjoying it on BBC4. I have tried Ebay/amazon and they are very expensive (around £55). I have found a Swedish site that sells it but it looks like you can have it dubbed in English and not English subtitles. As she's used to watching it with subtitles I don't know if this would spoil it. Will ask her tomorrow.

Any advice welcome.

the original Wallander does seem to be hard to get hold of just now

if your mum has a DVD player capable of multi-region playback you can get the Australian version of it which has English subtitles from EzyDVD for around £32 delivered (depending on the current exchange rate)

it's out of stock at the moment, but they generally get them back in quite quickly, usually within the week


EDIT ... if you're not sure about the multi-region thing, post the make & model of your mum's player, some are set up to do it already & some can be made multi-regional very simply with the remote handset

I'm OK at changing DVD players to region free as I've done a couple before. Google is my friend

The problem with buying from Australia is the customs charges it would incur. I don't know how much they would be and don't like nasty surprises, as it might make it as expensive as buying it from Amazon or Ebay.
