  • Hi all!!

    November already?!! Crazy! :O

Just stopping in to catch up, sadly no NSD to report :( Had to get some food shopping, diesel and packages to send my ebay things! :D

Planning on one tomorrow, fingers crossed!

Congrats on those who had #1 today!! Keep it up!
    Just keep swimming
  • :hello: Can I join in? I'll try for 10 NSDs. Need to get a flask to stop buying hot drinks, but if I hang on a week I can get one off my boyfriend for free.

    Happy Monday everyone. x
  • *Allie puts sincere hat on* Spoon, how on earth do you manage to make the new threads and keep up to date with them as well as provide us with some lovely updates everyday (not to mention the wealth of banter and knowledge from you and everyone else on here)?!! Your dedication to this thread is amazing...as are you! Thank you so much to you and to everyone on this thread for making my NSDs fun instead of a chore :)

*swaps sincere hat for silly bobble hat...well it is cold out there!* I managed my first NSD today :) going to attempt my second tomorrow, technically don't need anything so hopefully should be able to avoid the shops!

  • Jinty, you're welcome for my baking any time, now i finally have a kitchen it's a pleasure.

No NSD for me today, but i always knew that, monday is the day i call for a quick pint with the the old men in the local, & after the first day of the new manager i needed it

No planned spends till Thursday now where i need to get a couple of bits (ok naughty cakes) as my dad is up for the weekend to help me take a load more DIY related rubbish to the tip before the weather gets any worse... naughty cakes is a fair swop as he's bringing the wine!!

    Night all!! x

    Spend day for me

    2x D/Debits (Gas/Electricity & TV Licence)
plus £4.90 from my GC budget on Whoopsies (20 beef burgers, 8 sausages - extra large pork, each 90g - and 750ml of Strawberry & Banana Smoothie)

Have also tucked away window cleaners money (2 visits this month, though probably won't see him until 10th/11th), plus £7 for groceries I expect to need before next D/Debit is due out (on 10th) which should be just about enough. I've also put aside £5 for 'allowable' Whoopsies (which means Best Sausages, lamb of any type, beef mince, pasta sauces, milk in 1pt containers, Kievs, Smoothies, Bagels and nothing else !!)

So the items I'm allowed to buy from the £7 (without losing an NSD) are :-
    Milk - 4pt x 1
    Iceberg Lettuce - x1
    Cucumber - x1
    Potatoes - 2.5kg x1
    Bananas - 6
    Satsumas - 1 punnet
Cream - 1 tub (284ml/300ml depending on where I get it from)

By declaring amounts and allowable items, I'm seriously hoping this will mean I exercise more constraint on my spends rolleyes2.gif

Have looked at my D/Debit calendar, and I reckon something will go out of my bank on 6 or 7 days (including today) - so will have to assume 7.
Also have a 10km race on 14th which is raising money for Children In Need - at which I suspect there will be ways to spend money (raffle/tombola/cake stall type of things), so need to keep that clear for small spends and don't want to pre-allocate for it in case they have something special going on.

Not sure I can manage 23 days without buying anything else I've not put money aside for on spend days (especially as I have a week off work which only includes 1 D/Debit day), so going to set my target at 18 please Spoon - and hope to smash that by managing to pre-allocate all monies correctly :)

As to 'NS days in a row', I now have 8 days with nothing going out of my bank - and 10 days between the one on 15th and the next which looks like 26th (the one that went on 27th in October, so must watch that one before spending on 26th - though if it's late it won't be until 29th which could be a problem for things like milk :o) Think I'm sure to forget something I need in those windows though, so going to set my target for this to 6 in a row (which I managed twice in July)
