Will Soup Be OK??

Morning!

We made some soup in the SC on Tuesday and blended it etc....OH was supposed to freeze and have just noticed it in the fridge. It smells ok...like baby food-will it still be OK to freeze:confused:

It was lamb and veg.

Thanks peeps.

If it smells ok, then it probably is. I'd eat it - in fact I have some ham and veg soup in the fridge that I made ...erm sometime last week :o And that's not counting the panful on the stove top waiting to be bagged up and frozen :)

I have a cast iron stomach though - maybe if you personally are a bit worried, then don't eat it but it'll be fine for DH and DD I'm sure.
  • It will no doubt be absolutely fine - However, if you are worried then recook it once again and let it simmer for awhile, cool and then freeze.

Like others have said, I would go by the smell of it.

Personally, I would say it's good to eat. I normally say 4/5 days in the fridge, but I only make veggie soups, not meat ones.
