mortage and endowments finish dates not the same

I have 2 endowments due to mature next year. One is against a secured personal loan and the other is to pay the main mortgage. I know that they may both be a bit short, but I have now discovered that the secured loan finishes end Jan 2011, but the endowment matures in July!! The main mortgage finishes beginning May, but again the endowment matures end June 2011.
I am now really worried what will happen.
The letter for the secured loan states that no extension can be offered, is that because it is a loan instead of a mortgage?
and does that mean that the main mortgage can be extended.
I realise now that although the dates were the same at the start, when I got divorced I had everything changed into my name legally and I think that is why things are now not the same.
Anyone think that either the Building society of insurance company will be flexible to help me out. I am losing sleep over this.
