When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :)

    Morning everyone!
After a difficult week I'm back again - had to visit family in Wales, go to OH's nan's funeral and then, at a Frankie Boyle gig on Thursday, OH had a funny turn and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance and was kept in overnight - I was stranded with no car and no moneyin the centre of Manchester at 3am - great fun!
Then had to pay £25 for a taxi home and then £15 the next day for a taxi to go and get the car again. He's OK and home again now (feeling sorry for himself) but the half term week wasn't really what I was looking forward to!

Today I have tons to do to catch up -
    • 2 loads of washing and dry naturally - done
    • Write shopping list and meal plan done
    • Walk dog for free exercise (one down, at least 2 more to go)
    • Maybe go food shopping although may leave this until tomorrow done
    • Hoover and dust the house done
    • Clean the bathrooms
    • Do at least years 7, 8 and 9 lessons for the forthcoming week (loads of work:eek:)
    • Stay in tonight and make sure OH is ok
    • Checked banks done
    • Emailed quidco about the cash they are holding ransom done
That's all for now - hope everyone has a good day.
