Have you had both the acknowledgement and confirmation email yet?
I had a acknowledgement for an order quickly but the confirmation took another 30 minutes to come through.

My paypal payment shows pending too but Boots terms are that they don't take the payment until the order has been despatched (or is ready to go) and my order status shows it as 'being processed' so I wouldn't think there should be a problem with it.

Same with card payments they do not charge until the order is dispatched, mine is being processed but payment has not been taken yet.

I ordered loads of stuff, some great offers and 10% off plus I get 3 free extra gifts, can't wait to see what is in them.
