Make money from renting out Harley.

Hi All,
Relative Newbie here, long time lurker, 2nd post......
I'd like to know your thoughts on renting out a Harley Davidson to the public. What insurance problems could I encounter? Is it a viable option for only one Harley? In your opinion would it be too much of a headache or worth looking into? Is this something that can actually be done by Joe Public?
Thanks for any responses, please be gentle with me....:)

A few things.
Your Insurance will not cover it, if the person hiring the bike has there own insurance they would be covered for third party only.
You would need to find out how much it would be to insure any driver on your bike my thinking is ALOT!
Another thing, You could only lend it to those with a full motorcycle license.
To me it looks expensive and since those who can ride it will already have a bike of sorts i don't really see a huge market.0 -
It might be worth your while doing a search online, I did a quick search and found a number of sites that rent Harley's, one in Bristol rents them for up to about £120/day.
If you get in touch with one of these companies they might help you out with problems such as insurance
Good luck, there is a market out there.0 -
I think if you were able to rent it out to Tv or film companies, the way they rent ordinary houses, you may make a few bob, but i'd be very hesitant renting to the general public.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.
