How to dye wool coat?

I have ordered a new wool coat from my catalogue which i need for the winter and although this may sound mad, was wondering how to dye it successfully.
Reason for that is because its a pale blue colour and i would prefer black. I know youre all probably thinking 'so why buy a blue one', the reason is because its a quality coat, wool, nice style and ultimately instead of being £80 was only £20 in the sale.
So any tips, suitable dyes, ways to/not to, etc very welcome.
Im looking forward to getting it as theres no way i could afford to pay the original price and it will be nice to have such good stuff with the satisfaction of knowing how cheap it was. :j
