Funnily enough I have a Kathy Van Zeeland bag tucked away for Christmas that came from Tie Rack (wonder if it's the same one?) My mum bought it for me and she has a few of those bags. They certainly seem good quality and she was surprised at the prices as she said they sell well enough at full price.

Hers the qvc link http://www.qvcuk.com/ukqic/qvcapp.aspx/app.nav/params.file.UKMC0BJC,1.class.UKMC0BJC.level.3/walk.yah.UKFA~UKB2~UKMC I think they are quite nice, if you like them I would grab them at that price, not sure about £70 though;)
Thank you for this site Martin

  • Hi

My husband bought me one of these at full price, which was very well made.

I bought another one from TKMaxx around the £20 mark, and notice they still stock them now.

I have been very pleased with both bags.

  • My first thought would be 'oh, your mum got it for you from QVC'. Probably unfair, but I've seen some of the bags they flog on there and have been rather grateful that my mum doesn't buy me expensive presents.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

  • Never really looked at them but they come up alot on outlet shopping sites like brandalley.co.uk and secret sales (wouldn't recommend buying from secret sales, btw)

Me too, and they do seem to sell out fast at full price (though of course some people may regret it later and send it back!) I wouldn't pay more than £40 for a handbag and mine was £30 reduced from £85 (although of course I'm not paying anyway :D) Personally I doubt very much it was ever worth £85 but £30, probably.

I've just had a look at the QVC website and there are a lot of reviews written on Kathy Van Zeeland bags, so those may help you decide OP. I've had a quick nosy and whilst reviews are generally positive there are some very honest and detailed critical ones too.

EDIT- Doh- just noticed glowgirl has already supplied the link!

The brand and her husbands B Mak something is actually owned by a Chinese company and made by them. Over priceed cheap plastic bags, weigh a ton without anything in them with all the metal work on the outside.

A bag that is heavy when empty is one of my pet hates. My daughter is always buying bags on-line but personally, I like to feel a bag before I pay good money.
