Tescos bargain water filter jug and filters (merged)

Just been to tesco in Droylsden manchester, dont know if it is nationwide thing, but i checked online and they are not there, may just be instore.
BUt they have for £4.48 reduced from £8.97 there own universal water filter cartridges that can be used with Brita and Kenwood ( but not Brita Matrix Systems) they come with a free water filter fridge Jug, looks like a one litre one, but good enough for couples or those who live on their own.

This is a great price for the cartridges alone as they are usually £2.25 individually. The jug is basic but will do the job.

Just seen that Lidl are going to have Water filter jugs on sale from 16th October for £2.99 and pack of 4 water filter cartridges also for £2.99!

Tesco Weston Favell were still charging £8.97 for them on Friday

Tescos instore today have reduced their 4 universal filters with a free filter water jug from £8.97 to £2.47. the filters alone are around £10 for four in other stores like wilks etc. tescos are 3 for £7, so bought two boxes should keep me going for a while

in my local tescos they had there own brand of water filter jug and four universal fit fillters for £2.84, it used to be £9.97.
even if you dont need a water filter jug the water filters are cheap.
hope this is of interest to someone out there

Tesco are discontinuing these packs. They were originally nearly nine quid. 4 universal water filters and a free jug (large size) a bargain at £2.24, even more if you can get tesco to take coupons ( I failed!). Found mine in Bradford but suspect this may be all over the place.
