Dont click on them? A comp for a Saw film is obviousley going to show content......."Those who try to make sense of the world are divided into four categories: scientists, theologians, philosophers, and fools. Correction ... make that one category with three sub-divisions" -- Carlo Kensada0

I am not sure how this is a problem because I never accidentally see horror trailers on my PC though here are a few possible suggestions for you:
Parental controls / software.
Don't go to horror websites / enter horror competitions.
Use Firefox with No Script - this should stop any trailers from playing without you clicking for them to do so.
As for the TV all you can do is avoid channels / programmes / times that are likely to have horror adverts in them unless you have Sky+ or another PVR and then you can record programmes and fast forward through the adverts or stop live adverts.0 -

Spot on!
Can get annoying at times, but 99% of the time, noscript is the best thing I ever loaded to my PC!-
Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!
