I was in Sainsbuy's today & noticed a few increased prices on their Basic range of items. Jam cost 31p jar on Monday & 35p today & kidney beans up 2p per can are two examples of the items I bought. I wonder if they have increased prices across the whole range?
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

The price rises may be across the board. I have noticed that Lidl prices have gone up by 5 - 10 % over some of their range. "They aren't as cheap as they used to be"!0

I don't think Matalan is as cheap as it used to be!
Their prices are similar to other clothing retailers like Dorothy Perkins etc! I don't consider it a 'cheap' shop anymore.. Primark here I come! We're all pawns in the game of life!!0 -
Funny becasue I noticed Asda smartprice butter (53p) has disappeared off the shelves and seems to be replaced by another butter at 58p. Are we being conned?

Some of Lidl's stuff is excellent - we love their jams and cheese. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0
