hello,
i have recently managed to get northern rock to admit that they basically mis-sold me the PPI i had on my loan that i took out over 2yrs ago. they also admit that i have on my file many requests for it to be removed even within my 30 day notice period at the start of the loan. i have all this on a letter they finally sent me after i wrote to the complaints dept as i was considering reporting them to financial authorities.
my question is this, now that they have admitted all this, and i have it in writing, what are my rights?? can i legally challange them to compensate me for the complete stress caused.....the PPI was over £150 p/m alone!!!!
they have offered to reschedule had it never had the PPI and send me a new agreement.
can i take them to court???
what would you do??
what can i do?
many thanks.

if they have agreed that this policy has been mis-sold then you should be legally entitled to your money back and also to reschedule would have incurred another credit check and you can request that to be removed from your credit file. I don't no about court as it may end up costing you. I would write to the md with a copy of the letter and at least get the money you have paid for it knocked off your loan or refunded also make them aware you will stop at nothing to resolve this as they are supposed to be a low rate reputable company and will hate any bad press I think that you will find it might do the trick as i have been in a similar situation. hope this helps

thanks for the reply. they are taking every penny i've paid off my loan etc so i am happy with that. but struggling with the out ragious cost of the loan it put me in trouble with my car finance!! i have never defaulted on anything.....just but many times i was late. the impact this loan had on me has ruined my credit rating in my opinion 90% of my problem lies with northern rock.0
