Was that Settlement offer the last you've heard from them?

If it's not on your credit file (guessing not as it's for a service agreement) and you've sent them 2 prove it letters and heard nothing then I think they're chancing their arm, especially seeing as they offered you 50% off straight away! I wouldn't be taking it seriously until they either a) come up with some proof or b) court papers land on your welcome mat, neither of which seems very likely.

They're trying it on with this, especially if it's been through both MacKenzie Hall and Meritforce. Both companies (the latter is now owned by the former) are notorious for chasing bum, out-of-time, unenforceable crap, and hoping they can frighten people into paying them.

Nice try. It is the debt which is being disputed, not the amount. And it seems, no response to the letter asking for proof of the debt.
Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam

Enough frippery with Lowells, MacKenzie Hall or Meritforce - if none of them can provide answers, report all of them to the OFT, and cite Vodafone in each complaint.
