9 Roll Nouvelle Loo Roll- BOGOF

Comparing the price of toilet rolls is really complicated. There is no set size of a roll. Look on the packaging and you will see different brands have different lengths of roll and even different sizes of the sheets. Buying on price per roll can be a false economy.0

You can buy 9 roles of really nice quality loo roll in Farm Foods for £2 so that's £4.00 for 18 and it's always that price, not just on offer. It's better quality than the Tesco 9 roll pack for £1.99. Just to make you giggle, my DH picked up 6 toilet rolls in Morrisons once and told me they were about £1.50 (on offer) He obviously read the sign wrong cos they were actually £4.50 ! I made the assistant take them off the bill and she tutted at me, before huffing and puffing her way through doing it! Perhaps it was because I didn't ask her to refund the bottle of wine in my basket instead - but imo, that was £4.50 MUCH better spent! :rotfl:0

Totally agree! Thought I was getting a bargain at Morrisons last week when they had 18 rolls of triple velvet for £5. I was about to put my 6 rolls for £2.50 packet back when I noticed the (extremely) small print. The 6 roll pack contained rolls of 200 sheets, whereas the 18 roll pack had rolls of only 165 sheets...:(
And don't get me started on Charmin/cushelle. Not only do their roll sizes vary but they appear to sell entirely different thickness/quality standards all in the same packaging! This varies form thick and wonderfully strong, to thin, almost see-though:mad: Do they think we wont notice?:rotfl:0 -

I think it is £3.69 now, still good value.
I used to get ours from Poundstretcher. It is £2.99 or 2 packs for a fiver. They have changed it now and it is really poor quality.
I think I will check out Farmfoods.0 -

I think the price on these has just gone up.0 -
I usually work out the square metre size of each roll then divide the roll price by that to give a price per square cm. or metre. Much more accurate way of pricing them. Perhaps I have too much time on my hands!!0

You need to take a laptop with you with a spreadsheet to calculate the price per square metre of all the varietes of toilet roll on offer. It sure generates some interest in Tescos when you do that.0
