Wait til you get to London and go to Leicester Square where there are booths selling last minute tickets for shows at a much reduced price - that's if you're not wanting a particular show.0

I don't go to the theatre unless I get good stall tickets. There are many deals about for 'cheap' tickets, but I buy all my tickets through lastminute, generally they let you choose where you want to sit, and I've never had a bad one yet (touch wood!)0

Here are a few to try:
http://www.london-discount-theatre.com/
http://www.londontheatredirect.com/
(I like that site because if they don't have the tickets available for the show that you want, they do tell you what other show tickets they have available for that day and at what price)
http://discountlondontheatre.eolts.co.uk/index.php?pg=21
(That site has discounted tickets for some shows that I have not seen on other sites; we got Sound of Music tickets in that way for a much cheaper price than other sites were selling the same seating location tickets for - you click on the show you want to see, enter number of tickets required and the month required and you will see a calendar showing availability that month - if the performances also have an asterisk that means they have a special discount offer)
This link shows you what is selling each day at Tkts (the official half price ticket booth in Leicester Square - they sell good seats and 1/2 price plus booking fee - watch out for all the unofficial booths in the same area (with NOT so good seats!)
One other bit of info is that it can be worth phoning the theatre box office as the tickets offered online (even on the official website, eg Blue Man Group) will vary from those offered in the box office - so they may appear unavailable online but be available by phoning the box office - don't forget to use the SayNoTo0870 website to find the geographical telephone number first, as you may have to hold in a queue for ages! Using the TheatreMonkey website first, you can then have a window open with the seating plan for reference while you are on the phone - and know which seats are particularly good or poor value.
Hope this helps!0 -
broadwaybox.com is good, there is a link to get to London shows as its mostly US.
