Credit Card Accounts on Reduced Payments

Hello there,

I have 5 cards which I have had to put onto minimal repayments due to 'in between jobs'. This has only been for a period of 5 months after which I am back in work (Nov) and will be able to resume normal payments.

However, the companies appear to have closed my accounts whilst on the small repayment term rather than just suspended them. Issued default notices and the like with letters that said that my credit facility has been withdrawn permanently.

Is this normal?

Even if I clear the arrears in Dec and pay properly, is that it?

Have I screwed the accounts because of a short term blip?

Thanks.

just to be clear, you are paying less than the minimum monthly payments?

did you contact the companies and explain that you were temporarily unemployed but expected to be back in work shortly and would then resume full payments?
