best way to attach tiny diamontes

Hello, I brought some diamontes on ebay to go on a bag I'm making my mum. They arrived and are a lot smaller than I was expecting. I had been planning on just picking them up with my fingers but think they are too small/its going to be very fiddly. Does anyone know the easiest way to use them? I thought of a pin but don't know if i would have to put something sticky on the point and hope its not as sticky as the glue on the other side

thanks

my easiest tip is a cocktail stick with a tiny bit of blu tack on the end, effective and it works found this out after spending hours stoning a dance costume
