Utility Bill Before BR

Just a quick question, with BR pending within 2 weeks, I have my latest bill from Severn Trent Water that is now due for £114.

Can I include that in the BR (to help me towards finding the BR fees), and if I do, what would the implications be (if any) of not paying the bill. Are utility bills any different to any other bill?

Thanks.

Hi Chuckie, yes you can include the bill in you BR. The implications could be that they install a prepaid meter. Hopefully someone will advise further if this has happened to them.

Water dont do PAYG metering (well they dont here) (unless you count a payment card to cover monthly payments...they will still allow DD though) they "should" zero your account and any debt on the account can be included in the bankruptcy no issues

I have a paying book.....I didn't [still don't] like the idea of DD....with the access it gives to one's account......and I prefer to annoy by increasing admin costs [rather than their profits].....so I pay at a local village store [Paypoint].....

[also, water co. don't accept electron on the internet payment site]

I continued paying, it did not go into my BR....
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......
  • Thanks for the advice.:)
