What are your thoughts on regifting?

I have regifted or sold on (via ebay) presents given to us that we don't like/already have etc. I have no problem with this and would have no problem if someone regifted something to give to me. Please don't feel bad about it, I think it makes complete sense and is not being tight x:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0

I'll just add my little story. I was once given a gift by a student who didn't come from the richest of families. Anyway They brought me in this gift and I opened it and it was a toilitries set in a plastic shower bag thingy. It hadn't been used but must have sat in the bathroom for a while as it had water splash marks on it and on closer inspection a few pubes inside the bag LOL. I just smiled and said thanks very much despite feeling slightly sick!
Moral of the story we don't want you to regift your pubes, that just takes regifting to a whole new level!
I LOLed actual lolage hehe
I regift but only if the person recieving it would like it and I dont
I dont regift what I class as poop presents ie dog ornaments why why why Im scared of dogsLove is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
regifting is about the only thing i can do with some of the stuff i end up with... lol being a girl i get lots of 'smellies' for birthdays and xmas and i can't stand them! So they're ideal to pass on and save a few pennies..but yes..always remember who got the gift for you the first time round lol0

I have regifted loads of things (thoughtfully i.e. where the person will like it), it makes sense. What's the point in leaving something in a drawer taking up space if you will never use it, and then spend more money buying something else???
Does your sister know that you got the perfume from someone else? That could be awkward. But if she doesn't (or if she knows and doesn't mind) then go for it!!! :beer:Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

My sister used to be terrible with money before she learnt how to budget. She once gave me a magazine she had read and she kept the free gift off it :O. I was not impressed to be honest.0

Er, I actually don't see the problem with this, as it was *her* magazine. Unless you asked her to get it for you and gave her the money?Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

By the sounds of this thread pretty much everyone regifts, I have never recognised any of my presents as regifted so just do it, she'll never know.
I personally don't regift, partly because I've never had a bad present but there is no problem with it, if somebody gave me a regifted present, as long as it was something I wanted It wouldn't bother me. Plus it's your sister, sisters should be understanding!0 -
Thanks for all the reassurance guys!
I don't think she'd have a problem with regifting as she understands the situation, she's not exactly rolling in it herself, but I have decided to sell the perfume on ebay & use the proceeds as that way there's no risk of the perfume going off by the time she gets it or her being offended if she realises it's had that 1 little test spray.
Also I gotta say that pubes story was shocking  but made me lol.
