Unwanted games - retury query

I've got a couple of sealed Xbox 360 games I don't want, got them in a gift - (Dead of Alive 4 and Final Fantasy XI). They were purchased in Virgin, but I don't have the receipt, nor am I likely to get the receipt. Can I take them into Virgin and get an exchange for something else of similar value? Or will they tell me to !!!! off? Thanks!

you will properly get a credit or them refunded.

I take it they have a virgin sticker, or have you just been told thats where they are from?

Some shops will swap it anyway as long as its in the plastic it comes in.

They are in the sealed plastic, but there isn't a sticker on them. Im pretty sure they are from Virgin though - should they have a sticker?

Take them back. Ask politely. If you just want an exchange or vouchers then I doubt there will be a problem. Say they were a gift and you were told they were bought from Virgin. If you've got a Virgin bag bring that along too.

It's been a few years since I worked at Virgin, but if you'd done the above I would have been more than happy to give you an exchange or vouchers. If you're not happy with the service on offer, you can always ask for a manager, but I don't think you'll have any problems.

as they are sealed, i don't think you should have any problems returning them. they are wary of people who have bought the games, played them and then try to return them

Virgin quite happily will return ANY sealed games etc, although without a receipt you can only get an exchange, which suited me perfectly
