Hi all, I'm hoping to pick your brains about an idea I've had...
This will be our first Christmas as a married couple so really want to do something special for my new husband:j.
My idea is to have a kind of Christmas countdown with 24 gifts, one for each day in December, nothin extravagant, maybe his fave choc bar one day, a toy he'll remember from his childhood another, and so on.
What I'd really like is some kind of poem/ poems I can attach to each gift to make it a bit more Christmasy (sp?).
I'm planning on leaving each gift somewhere different each day so he will find them as he's making a coffee, brushing his teeth ect.
So far I have thought of a yoyo, deodrant, mini aftershave, spud gun, mini bottle of something alcoholic and a dvd.
Does anyone have any other ideas, that won't break the bank or ideas for poems I can use?
Thanks!
Tiggy

What a lovely idea!
Homemade voucher book - e.g. one kiss, one cuddle, one cuppa, one car wash...
Box of Hugs
A framed pic of the two of you
Ball of life
Snowman soup, you could do this for the two of you and add a couple of Christmas mugs
Reindeer poop
A book
Pair of gloves
IOU for his fave dinner and cook it that night
Could some of the days be things you do such as going to see Christmas lights?
HTH x:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
I second the voucher idea. My hubby has an advent calendar with the little drawers (he's a real big kid!) I pop in different chocs in each one and then on random days I put in little vouchers for Christmassy activities such as Go for a walk to see the lights, visit the garden centre for a hot chocolate, watch a Christmas movie of your choice etc.0

i do this every year for my daughters(27 & 29 now!) a lottery ticket, a pocket diary, hair products etc they love it and post on FB what they get each day, their friends all wait to see what treat the day brings.0

Thanks for those ideas, they're great! I love the idea of vouchers, might do a few like trips to the cinema and an hour on his playstation where I promise not to nag about more important things he could be doing! lol Going to have a look at those links now rainmac x0

For the last 2 years I have gotten 24 different bottles of beer for my OH. takes ages to shop around for cheaper bottles that are all different. Last year I also got him a different sweet/choccy bar for each day but he had to guess each of them before he opened them! He got them all right :eek:Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0

Oh wow, this is a really fab idea.
Quirky bottles of beer would be fun. Also maybe some old CDs of his favourite songs?0
