Overnight I received £6.17 from eBay and £0.50 from a VO survey. Is it very wrong of me that when I first added these together I wished I'd earned a penny less?

We are wanting to take the kids next Christmas, can't afford it this year so thought if we give ourselves a good year to save we could make sure we can have a really nice time. Cos much as we try to save for stuff it always seems as though we run out right at the end when we're trying to scrap together for spends. So then we have the whole- no put that down, you can't have that etc. Would be nice for once not to count the pennies quite as much
