Grrrrr @ Royal mail!.... Just had a messege from a buyer informing me that their item hasn't arrived yet, and she wasn't very polite about it either:( had to write a grovelling email, and explain that i cant issue a instant refund, but will beable to issue it tomorrow when funds have cleared ....:oHow embrassing! Normally have at least £20 in paypal, but only have 70p today!! luckily for me it was only £5 odd item.

Up side, have just listed 7 more items :)

An item isnt officially 'lost' until 3 weeks have past, royal mail guidelines. That's the spiel i give to my buyers and 9/10 times it shows up during that time. Anyway, If you read the small print on ebay when inputting dispatch time, it says that an item will be delivered *2 working days*(or whatever your dispatch time is) AFTER funds have cleared. So tell her to shut her trap! :D

  • I have had alot of trouble in the past with ebay. One said that he didnt receive his item, wasnt the most polite, and i said i had my proof of posting and had to wait the 3 weeks until it is 'officially lost'. He didnt reply to that, i guess he was trying to make a quick dime (not sure wat the saying is) and have his parcel too. Another one said that his parcel was put into his dustbin by the postman, and suprise suprise the binmen collected it. Again i offered to send him up a copy of the proof of posting (he was doing the claim as it was his postmans fault), i asked him for his address so i could send it back up to him (I never keep the addresses, only the proof of posts) and never heard a peep out of him again, so i am wondering if that too was a con! Ah well.....

I've had a few ebay people lately say an item hasn't turned up. I only use recorded delivery so as soon as I give them tracking details they shut up and usually leave feedback the next day!! urgh!

Well done those making their targets!! There's still time for those not quite there yet. I'll be starting the december (!!!!!!) thread over the weekend. oh man, am I the only one slightly freaked out that December is around the corner!!

  • Well i am beginning to wonder about the lost in post claims, ive had 3 so far and they have all been for low value items, say under a tenner, yet i have sent items over £50 not recorded and never had one of those go missing, Think i will start sending recorded regardless, and just see how many go missing then.

I do think the dodgy people who claim not received for low value items know that most sellers dont want to risk a neg for the sake of a few quid... which is the case with me.

Thanks for your replies ~ i'll let you know the outcome.

Just wish there was a better way of letting other sellers know about someone who has repeatedly claimed item not recieved.

Although to add I had to complain this week as had waited 4 weeks for my item to arrive. Contacted seller who said shed sent it on the Sunday.....hmmm she gave me a refund so im happy. Although I wouldve liked what I ordered it just put me off bothering to try again :(

Its been really slow on the money making front for us. Although I would like to add Ive saved a lot of money as we found out that the bump I have is a boy and since we already have one of those with lots of excess clothes I will save a fortune :D

Oh and I reclaimed 16.50 worth of lost tesco vouchers so thats good i might add that on.

I seem to have money left over this month which is a first so im mighty happy about that. :)

I am not worried about December as from today I have officially bought all my Christmas presents!! (apart from 2 but I have the money put aside for them) so impressed!!
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

I'm back again, i recieved a refund cheque from the bank this morn, apparently from an old home ins policy i took out in 2007 and i didnt get the full discount or something. Not that i realised at the time or even at all but i'm not gonna say no to the bank for giving me £42.44:D. OH turned up with a load of free goodies after his shift too, a pack of salmon fillets, 2 huge breaded fish fillets, a box of cornflakes and rice krispies (apparently the boxes were too squashed to sell!) and a pack of lean mince. All was gonna be written off and binned.
