Question about defaulted accounts being removed from CR after 6 years

hi there,

i defaulted on a credit card years ago, this was passed to a debt collecting agency (Lowell Financial) - on my credit report it states i defaulted 5 and a half years ago, so am i right in thinking this will be removed from my credit report in 6 months time?

Lowell Financial are still regularly checking my credit report

no. tbh i had forgotten all about it until i received a letter the other week.
