IVA's & Mortgages

I've currently got 2 years left on my IVA and my partner is taking out additional borrowing on his mortgage to try and get my IVA paid off early as we desperately want to move and buy a house together.

Want are people's chances of getting the mortgage with the IVA still going or like the day/week after it was paid off?

It was a long story as to why I got into the debt but unfortunately they don't look at the wider picture.

It will still be on your credit rating for six after the date on which your IVA came into place. Give or take a month for your creditors to record it on your credit file... Actually you may need to get copies of your credit files and make sure that all defaults are registered at the appropriate date and not a year or two later which creditors have been known to do!

Wouldn't advise borrowing on the mortgage to end it early.

It's my partners mortgage not mine or joint but we are wanting to clear the debt so we can move on together. The extra borrowing he is taking out will obviously up the mortgage now but the repayments will leave us financially better off.
