Which store for personal shopper?

I'm going to London in November, and want to give a 'personal shopper' a try.
I found this article:

Just not sure which to try.
Has anyone any ideas or recommendations.

I used Debenhams as I was attending a black tie do for the first time. I found the experience fab. The PS chatted to me first about the event and my likes/dislikes plus which celebs I though to be stylish. The PS then went out and brought back a range of dresses, accessories etc for it. I then just tried on what I liked. Got a beautiful evening dress and shawl that I still pull out now for big events.
I recommended it to a pal in Feb as she was flying over to Dubai for a two week break. Her husband was working over there at the time so there would be some down time and a lot of work related activities, cocktail parties and mixer type things to do the work. My pal wanted a capsule collection to see her through all of this looking glam and relaxed as and when required. She said it was great service and it really helped her out. She got the looks she wanted at a price she was happy to pay - without all the hassle. (She did have £1200 to spend though). No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -

Debenhams or John Lewis - they aren't pushy, and listen to your budget restrictions.0

I think it depends on how much you might want to spend on clothes, what sort of occasions the clothes are for and possibly on your age and size

I have seen a style advisor twice in Topshop (different person each time) both times I was really suprized and pleased with what they suggested. I wasn't able to buy everything they mentioned but in dribs and drabs and in the sale I did return to buy what I could! It also helped me look at my style in a whole new way- my body shape changed dramaticly (long story) and I had existed in black-baggy stuff, looked like a teenager despite being 10 yrs older. I was able to get some advice on what shapes to look for and colours for the season to look out for.
They do know their stuff- if you need in-trend fashion advice its worth it and its also free with no hassel to buy anything however you do need to have vouchers or a gift card to book(though don't need to spend it there and then).0 -
Perhaps I got them on an off-day or something. To be fair, I haven't been since that one time, and I guess it can be different depending on who you get...?
Maybe worth another try at some point.0 -
Debenhams are great. I have gone there 3 times now, to the Nottingham store, to use the Personal Shopper. Once for a big occaision (meeting all of OH family at his brothers wedding), once when I lost a load of weight and then took my mother for MoB outfit for my wedding. Each time the service was great, really listened but without too much pressure. Two out of the three times we purchased but not the last time. I would really recommend it.0
