Mmm I am hoping they won't try & tie me into another 18months, if that's all they offer then I guess I will just have to suck it up for another few months & then go onto one of those 1 month rolling contracts from Tesco for example which are doing a good deal for only £10 a month as that will work out cheaper in the long run.

I am hoping they want the business that much that they will offer me something worthwhile though!

Unfortunately yes, we quite often end up using them at the same time for different things.

  • Hi, just wanted to say well done, alot of people have already said the kind of things I would have suggested. Myself and OH were like you but just kept overspending in the hope that one day something would magically come along and make things right. After a few years we decided to get married, then have a baby, then we needed to move to a bigger house, and then a couple of years later decided to have another baby. Before we knew where we were we had £15k of debt and every spare penny was going on debt repayments. We are slowly turning things around now but it has been really tough and I so wish I had never got into this financial mess in the first place. Good luck with it all.

    Hi Yorkshirelass, thank you!

I know what you mean it's very easy to bury your head in the sand & think it'll all be ok eventually which is what we have done for the last 5 months or so, but I am glad we are doing something about it now before it's too late as one day we too would like to start a family, & we have been engaged over a year now but without booking a single thing as we have never had the money to do so. I'm hoping this will all change once my signature changes to a nice zero :)

Congratulations on making those first few steps towards being debt free yourself & I wish you all the best.
