Logbook loans and payment insurance

If someone got a logbook loan, would they be able to take out seperate insurance policy with another company in case they lost their job or became too ill to pay?

    you can apply for ASU insurance (accident, sickness and unemployment )
    just google it but read the small print very carefully especially about waiting times before the insurance will pay out
