Quick BR form creditor question

Just starting on the forms now. I've had a couple of debts passed on to debt collecting agencies. Do I put them down as the creditor or the original company I owe the money to?

    Hi,

Personally I would but the debt collection agencies down as the creditor and in the additional information section put the original creditors details. I know there isn't much room on the form sections to write everything, I wrote all my extra bits in the additonal notes section, think it was about three pages. May seem ott but it got my OR interview down to five minutes because they had all the info they needed.

Thanks Gemlou. If it helps get the OR interview down then that must be a good thing. I just want to make sure the right organisation is informed of my BR to stop them chasing me

I just put down who the original debt was with.

  • No problem, yeah I would do that then because if I remember rightly you have to write their address down with the creditors details, so it will be easy for the OR to see who they need to write to to inform them of your BR.

    Good luck

Believe me it does not stop them, I was still getting calls, letters even though they knew I was BR. Even got a letter from Cabot a few weeks ago, telling me they had purchased the debt from Citi, even though Citi had informed them I was BR. Asked me to send my BR details to confirm it, sent them an email that told them to go away and fornicate and if they contacted me again I would be informing the OR.

  • Dojoman my BR form was a work of art you should have seen it all hand written aswell! Took me bloody hours written in pencil first then I went over in black biro :)
  • Oh and just to add if you do still get chased like Dojoman has just said after they are informed, there are some handy letters that you can send them. The guys on here will help you out with the links if that happens.
