Mackenzie hall confusing me!

I recently had a payday loan with quick quid what I could not pay back and eventually it was passed to mucky hall.
I spoke to a rather in polite lady once who would not except my proposed payment plan so I advised her that there was to be no more phone conversations and everything should now be in writing.
I sent them various letters again offering a payment plan of £20 per month for a £500 debt. (All I can afford)
I started receiving letters saying we are “considering” legal action
After a few of those I got a letter saying “you have left us no choice but to take legal action against you if you don’t pay within 7 days court proceedings WILL be issued against you”
After that it went quiet for 2-3 weeks and I receive 2 fishing letters asking if X lives at X address to please contact them and if X does not live there please r.t.sender the letter???
I am confused are they going to take me to court or not??????
Has anyone had any dealings with these lovely people?

Hi Paxon
Did you send the letters offering payment recorded delivery?
I would write to MH (send recorded delivery) advising them again that you are disappointed they have not accepted your offer.
However as a goodwill gesture you want to pay what you can afford and can they provide their bank details so you can set up a standing order to commence payments.
The ball is then in their court. If they do not provide you with their bank details then they are refusing to take a payment from you (and they would then be on dodgy ground).
If they do provide you with their bank details and you commence payment, and in the unlikely event then took you to court, it would look bad on them commencing court action when you are paying the most you can afford, an amount they have been accepting xx months.
Keep doing what you are doing. You are correct to keep everything in writing so this can be used to demonstrate you are being reasonable and MH are not.

They like to threaten court a lot, that's about it.0

I think thats what i will do but it just seems abit strange/naughtey of them to say they will commence court action and they dont do you think i sould send a copy of the letter to the f.s.a and this is blatent scare mongering.0

No they won't - the only time MH will ever see the inside of a court will be with them as the defendants. Ignore them.
If you do an online search for MacKenzie Hall, you'll find that their reputation is notoriously bad - and rightly so.0
