Hi thanks to reniannen i've won a place in the western digi comp in london this fri(29/10) not sure how i'll get on but should get something for turning up and they pay travel.there were 25 places so hopefully some other mser's have a place(message me if you do) although they left it till about 8pm to tell me today so its quite late notice so not sure how many will be there!.

I got the same email. I won't be going but I am hoping to send my son who is probably better suited to "killing aliens"! Depends really on train prices from sunny Blackpool as only £50 is on offer for travel expenses.
Given the short notice I would expect a few "no-shows" so chances of winning may be increased possibly?

Hmm, I now have the same email saying there were additional places and would I like to attend. Problem is I think my wife might have entered me in it and I haven't played either of the 2 games I'll be competing in! As for speed building a PC, the last time I built any PC was about 5 years ago!0

Well I've decided to go....I may be rubbish at the triathlon but it's a day out just for ME and I haven't had one of those for years. A bit of research suggests that everyone taking part will walk away with a prize at the end of the day so that's an added bonus....as is the fact that they will reimburse your travelling expenses of up to £50.
Maybe any MSE'ers going should form a mini-team!0 -

I won a place in it too but cant go dont think the 50 pound travel allowance will cover travel from scotland to london. Ohh well I play starcraft and world or warcraft might have been lucky at the starcraft bit. Congrats to you hope your lucky x :j:j:j:j:j:j0
