London cheap room Monday to Friday

Hi, I am looking for a room as a lodger in London. It is for my partner and she only requires it from Monday to Friday each week, within reasonable distance of Kensington. This is to save her commuting from Bournemouth everyday.

Any suggestions of where to look in the range of £20 ish per night.

We have looked at the Monday - Friday website but it is far too expensive.

You could try Gumtree (but with care). Or postcards in newsagents / supermarkets, again with care for the responses.

If she's with a large employer then a postcard on a noticeboard / email to staff / intranet message may find someone who could put her up?

TBH, £20 a night seems very very cheap. I know you'd be paying at least twice that for a 'proper' B&B. Will she offer anything in exchange, eg help with babysitting / housework etc?

If there's a Travelodge near work it would be worth looking out for the £9 sales and booking a few nights then - but breakfast is (a lot!) extra! and they are quite soulless IMO.

Any youth hostels / backpackers hostels / YMCA near work?

£20 a night is very cheap IMO. I think you'll struggle to find somewhere for that price.
