Hi
Due to illness and redundancy I am not able to pay the minimum amount to Barclayard Credit Card (about £12,000). I also have other debts of about another £20,000 who are being more reasonable.
I have had this account for many years (Goldfish etc before them) and wonder if it is still possible to go through the CCA route which Never in Doubt gave a lot of information about.
It's not that I don't want to pay the debt it's that I am getting further and further in the red when they load such hefty charges on top of what I owe so to have a bit of breathing space would be good to try and sort out everything with the debt companies who seem to have a waiting list as long as your arm!
Thanks for any advice.

Any help with links to NID's posts or template letters or just advice would be very helpful.
Many thanks

NID no longer posts here and took down some of his templates as they were out of date after a court case.
Do any of your accounts have payment protection insurance (PPI) that you can claim on?
NID can now be found on this forum: http://forums.all-about-debt.co.uk/index.phpAfter falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
Thanks for you reply
No PPI claim, would just be reliant on agreement.
Will look at NID's new thread.
Thanks again for your help.
