Hi all
Ive not long started a new job (3 months in now) and I still havent got any paysllips yet, although i keep asking and they say they are doing them?
Its an established company abroad, but this is a new office in UK.
I have being paying the tax with the company tax book in at the post office - so its not as if they arent paying any, but how do i know if its being the NI etc is being allocated against my name???

Simple answer is, you don't, because it's not until the end of the tax year that the company has to say who's been employed and what deductions have been made for each of them (and passed on to HMRC!)Shez wrote:Hi all

However, I believe it is a legal requirement to give a payslip showing what you've been paid and what deductions have been made. It can be as simple as a wages envelope with the details written on.
ACAS may be able to advise further. Or you could phone your local tax office and see if they'll take an interest!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Under statutory employment law you are entitled to receive a payslip ON or PRIOR to your pay day.
If you wanted to do something about this, if talking doesn't work, you are within your rights to raise a grievance. In theory, however, this is a simple request and you would think they should be able to sort it quite quickly without the need for the grievance proceedure!
Good luck

Absolutely. If money is being paid to HMRC, it seems to suggest that someone somewhere is doing the sums! Telling the employees what those sums were is not rocket science!bitza81 wrote:In theory, however, this is a simple request and you would think they should be able to sort it quite quickly without the need for the grievance proceedure!Signature removed for peace of mind0
