I have just been approached by the above company whilst applying for jobs. I have watched the DVD and am awaiting a telephone call as was requested. I am a sceptical person and feel this is a pyramid scheme but would like some further advice from anyone who may have been approached by this company before I continue. Many thanks

First instincts are usually correct. And they need a DVD to tell you what they do?? Steer well clear. The only thing we know for sure, is that we know nothing0

So whats wrong with an organisation/biz sending out a dvd explaining what the role involves, and explaining about the company. Lots do it.
Before giving negative advice about a company it might pay to do a little research.;)0 -

Its a Forever Living Products site. Or FLP for short. They are a successful long running Global MLM company. Their products can be a tad expensive.
Pyramid schemes are illegal in UK etc.;)
Heres their main site : https://www.foreverliving.com/marketing/Home.do
Also see these recent threads about them.

Having been part of pyramid schemes myself in the 90's i thought i recognised the warning signs. Nothing wrong with info dvd's, just a tad unusual.
Is this the same company as Forever Living, the aloe vera products etc co? If so, an internet search throws up a wikipedia article which states that "Forever Living has been criticized for being a pyramid scheme on the basis that participants are said to be rewarded primarily for recruiting new members to the organization, rather than for selling products to genuine end-users."
and various forum type (very few since they are overpowered by the sales type article sites espousing the company!) posts from users who were once involved with them and consider them a scam based on the sheer amount of work for very little return.
Doesn't mean they ARE a scam/ pyramid.. and considering the threads posted above, it seems many don't believe they are.
Good luck with them if you do decide to apply in any case :beer:The only thing we know for sure, is that we know nothing0 -
If it was involved in pyramid selling in the UK it would not be allowed to operate, and it would not be allowed to be a member of the dsa http://www.dsa.org.uk/becoming-a-dsa-member/dsa-members/profile.php?id=153 and i doubt very much that it would have been given the Investor In People Gold Award.
Having said that i have no intention in joining.:D0 -
This from their website:
Forever Living Products relies on people like you to share our products. You’ll get our products at wholesale prices, and earn up to 43% when you sell them at retail prices. On top of that, you’ll get a Personal Bonus of up to 18% for sponsoring each new Distributor and helping them make sales. And as you develop your Distributors into Assistant Supervisors, Supervisors, and Assistant Managers, you’ll earn a Group Volume Bonus of up to 13% on each of these team members.
If that’s not enough, you’ll start bringing in a Leadership Bonus for every manager in your downline, starting at a 2% bonus and going as high as a 6% bonus depending where they are positioned in your organization.
All these bonuses may leave your head spinning, but it’s actually very simple. Follow the proven Steps to Success. Help others follow it too. And before you know it, you’ll have more bonuses coming in than you can keep track of.
If that's not a pyramid scheme I don't know what is!

Nonsense !!! Its a MLM company.
If it was a pyramid scheme the DTI/OFT would have closed it down.
The Direct Selling Association says at http://www.dsa.org.uk/start-your-own-business/faq/
"What is the difference between MLM (Multi Level Marketing) and pyramid selling?
• MLM, or network marketing, is a way of organising a Direct Selling business. In a MLM business earnings are derived solely from sales to consumers – from an individual\'s personal retail sales and the retail sales of those he or she may have recruited.
• Pyramid selling schemes are sometimes disguised to look like MLM but commonly have the following characteristics:
1. They encourage participants to make substantial investments in stocks of goods, by offering rewards to participants for getting others to do the same.
2. They make little reference to Direct Selling and the need to achieve consumer sales. Instead, they imply that the main source of rewards comes from getting others to make substantial initial investments.
3. They do not offer contracts to participants, cancellation rights nor the opportunity to buy back unsold goods – all of which are required under UK Law ."
Strange how you dont post for 10 months then dig up this thread. Do you have a grudge against them.0
