Limited edition baking tin containing 2x 250g packs of butter only £2 in Asda. Even better you get 3 for £5. It seems a good quality tin with a recipe booklet and a coupon for 30 pence off lurpak spreadable.

Just got back from Watford and wanted to say thank you very much. Lurpak is now £1.50 per pack and I only buy it when it is on special 24£2. However, this works out at 83p per pack. The packs I bought are good until the middle of January. I got 9 sets, ie 18 packets of butter. Whatever is not used by Christmas will go in the freezer. I was down to my last packet in the fridge and needed butter anyway.0

I now only buy Lurpak when it is on special offer and always keep some in the freezer. I have never had a problem with it.0 -
18 packs of butter would last us about 9 years ;-)
Think about your heart?
She didn't say she would consume it all herself..
I never use to use a lot of butter until I started baking with my children..I now could go through 2 packs easily a month. They don't eat all the stuff we bake that ends up going into hubbie's work...fills a few hours on a rainy afternoon!0 -

Now that DS is back home from university and employed, he has 2 peices of toast every weekday morning. At the weekend DS and DH have bagels for breakfast. When DD is home, she also has a bagel for breakfast at the weekend. I very rarely eat anything that requires butter. I was born and brought up on Lurpak butter and only ate that for the first 25 years of my life. When I got married, DH wanted Anchor, but I said no. We only use butter in my house and not in such quantity that it will do us any harm.0 -
