My OH received her ear-rings yesterday and I guess she was one of the lucky ones as there weren't broken which is very surprising seeing that they where just sent in a standard envelope without any extra protection

you would think that they would realise that by sending a gift or a competition prize with shoddy packaging that they will lose potential customers which kinda makes you wonder why they gave them away in the first place :p

    Best of Luck :)

I received one pair of earrings a month ago, they were broken.Today i have received a card from royal mail for a parcel but have to pay £1.19 handling charge,i'm pretty sure it was for another pair of earrings LOL:rotfl:

Yesterday I got a pair of ear-rings and the Everyday sale envelope had a yellow sticker with 'postage unpaid
    postage deficient 19p
    handling fee- £1.00
    to pay- £1.19'

Not sure about this, I didn't pay anything and the postie just put it through the letterbox, anyone know what this is?

    TIA

Anything that has been posted without the correct postage on, Royal Mail levies a charge of £1.00 even if it is just 1p short

you normally have to go to the sorting office to collect and pay, you can of course look at the letter without opening it and decline to pay the fee they then keep the letter and dispose of it

some posties who sort the mail don't agree with the charges for one reason or another or just can't be bothered to pass the letters on but just deliver them

my postie used to do this at my previous address ;)
