"the paye incomes are £13525 and £11360"

Surely it's either that or "16 grand" but not both.

You should have P60s and there should be a line called "Pay in this employment" and another "Tax deducted in this employment".

What you say about "the Council" is correct IF they both have the same "Employer PAYE reference" in which case you'll only get one payslip and one P60 from the 2 combined.

Your earlier post implied 2 separate payslips hence potentially a messed up tax calculation by one of them.

Well we are now back to the 2,073 tax calculation - so if you have paid 1,233 that is 840 to go.

Afraid not. You don't say which year this is (HMRC are issuing P800s for both 08-09 and 09-10) ..... but if its 09-10 then the tax due on £16839 would be around £2072.

The pay figures you gave at post #4 sound the most sensible - given your hours. There must be 2 x P800 as you're quoting £13525 and £11360? As the £13525 isn't far off the £13575 you quoted for caretaking ..... looks to be the cleaning job where the P800 is way out?

As you have a P60 with £16839 (?) on it ........ in this case I'd make an appointment to see your pay people in the 1st instance and find out just which figure they gave HMRC for the cleaning job? If they got it right (ie £3264) then you need to ring HMRC on the number on the P800 and find out where £11360 came from. If your pay people got it wrong - then they need to take it up on your behalf.

PS .............. or ............. on 2nd thoughts. Are you sure the £13525 and £11360 aren't for separate years 08-09 and 09-10? The top of the P800 tells you.
