Hi,
I am looking at taking my a-levels by distance learning. I only know of ICS but its £320 for the course. Money I just don't have. Does anyone know of any cheaper companies I can go through, or if you can get and help paying for it?
thanks

Why do you want to do A-levels?
What level of qualification do you already have? - you may be able to get help with fees.0 -
Have a look at the OU website. http://www3.open.ac.uk/study/index.htm?KWCAMPAIGN=RAPP_Brand&keywordid=ggluk_ou_mkwid=sP8jLDfn8|pcrid|5146026382&gclid=CP6
Unless you have a specific reason for doing A levels, you would probably be better studying with the OU; A levels are inappropriate for most adult learners.0 -
I only want to do a-levels as I have no idea what I want to do eventually and thought at least its another qualification and shows I am able to learn etc. I only have GCSE's and a NVQ in retailMake £5 a day in May £8.90 / 850

Unless you have a local college that offers distance learning options (a few do, but you still have to be local for funding reasons), you will not get help with distance learning A Levels. Have you had a look at OU? You may be surprised at the courses they offer, and how respected they are.Gone ... or have I?0

Another OU fan here.
It's not just degrees. There are certificates and diplomas too. For example, I did do a complete business degree, but after doing 2 x 30 point level 1 courses, I was awarded this certificate:

Also see these pages to see if you are entitled to any help with the costs. You may get a full or part payment depending on your household income and dependants.
