Picked up bits and pieces. Lots of clothes but not much in the way of homewear or toys. Limited sizes as well in lot of the per una stuff

Some good stuff in the Poole, Dorset one - lots of lovely Per Una - all sizes. Got a great Nurse's outfit for my four year old - complete outfit including dress, cape, hat and syringe - £5.00. Very pleased!

there is an online discount code which is still showing as valid on the website (a search here under marks and spencer will also produce it ) . When you check out it shows as not valid as apparently expires 11.10, but when you ring them to complain (0845 609 0200, option 4) they take the delivery charge off.You have to wait for about 40 mins after you order for it to register on the system. Thought it might help someone

A manager visiting our branch, where I was trying to sort out an online order gone wrong, said they are in negotiations with Amazon to get a decent site. About time too.

Had loads of baby clothes reduced to £2-£5 in the M&S near me (Hedge end). Trousers for £2-3, Two t-shirts for £2, Jumpers for £3 and a dungeree and t-shirt set reduced to £2. Definatly worth a look.

Don't trust the M&S computer system! OH ordered, amongst other things, at 12:10 today:

2 x Pink Bra **
2 x Pink Knickers
2 x Blue Bra **
2 x Blue Knickers
3 x Yellow PJ Bottoms
3 x Yellow PJ Tops **
2 x Blue PJ Bottoms **
2 x Blue PJ Tops

Guess what? Just received an email from customer services 7 hours later saying:

Thanks for your recent online order.
I am sorry to tell you that we have had to cancel the 3 vests in size 8, 2 blue gingham crop trousers in size 8, 2 pink sorbet bras in size 32D and 2 light ocean pretty stripe bras in size 32D from your order as they are currently out of stock. You have not been charged for these items and your new order total is £xxx.xx. I understand that this information will be disappointing and I'm sorry for any inconvenience that it will cause you.
The remaining items on your order will be delivered within the next 4-7 working days.
We update availability regularly, so you may wish to check the website again in the next 2-3 weeks however, if these items were part of a sale we will not receive any more stock.

So basically all the stuff with * next to them were out of stock even though the computer let us order them making the sets useless. Looks like a lot of stuff to be taken back! Julian.

I had lots more success (and fun!) in the Maidenhead store today - spotted the cardigan that I had not been able to buy online in my size (when it was full price) - reduced by 1/3. Many items being added to the Per Una sale rail while I was looking - and as many being grabbed by eager shoppers!:o

Came home, browsed the website - spotted another nice cardigan, had it in my basket and was going through checkout - but it was then declared out of stock - arghhh - almost like having it snatched away by another shopper at the cash desk, isn't it?!
