Hi,

After some advice on groceries for an adult and 2 children to put on my soa - what will I be allowed? Recently we have been scrimping week to week on the bare minimum but as I am going bankrupt I would like to put a sustainable amount.

Thanks
L

A fair bit more than $40 to $50 (in pounds, not sure where my pound sign has disappeared to) we have been trying to live on. I dont particularly want to carry on serving beans on toast and egg on toast and main meals on a day to day basis. Not bad for once a week but Im concernned for childrens health too.

Hi, me & my hubby went BR in Nov 2008, we were allowed £600 per month for 2 adults and 2 teenage boys, hope this give's you and idea, if they think you have put to much they will restrict, best to put to much than not enough as you cann't increase this after, so perhaps but £400 for 1 adult and 2 children, I'm sure someone else will come along and give an idea xxx
  • likabu you should post up your whole SOA for bankruptcy, start a new thread on this forum for it, and folk here will let you know if its reasonable for bankruptcy.

You are making secured loan payments, but don't have a mortgage. Is it for a car?

Yes it's for the car on hp - I imagine that will be going shortly after br so i will have an extra $124 surplus as I am going to be using a runaround.

I was thinking the child expenses was slightly amibitious I will amend that - I am surprised but pleased that the grocery amount is looking feasible.

    Thanks
