Well finally done it filled out my forms over the weekend and rang the court today and my hearing is on the 10th November. The query i have is i bank at barclays who i owe nothing too. I went in to see them today and explained my pending situation. They were so helpful, they have advised me to open my new basic cash card account immediately which seemed a bit weird after what i have read. I will have no funds in the account when i go bankrupt. How long does it take after my hearing for the OR to release the account back to the bank. They have told me today that i can still have the account after going bankrupt is this right. Im concerned because i usually get paid on the 25th of each month and im wondering how im going to get paid if the OR hasnt released the account. Could i have my wages paid into somebody elses account for 1 month until its sorted. Its just that i will need my wages to pay the mortgage etc. Any help would be really appreciated
I cant tell you how helpful this forum has been, before i was at my wits end and felt very depressed but i can finally start to see some light at the end of the tunnel even if it is a small flicker but its a start.

Yep you can have your wages into a different account no worries till after your bankruptcy date...
as barclays were not a creditor then they're right if its a basic acc then it'll usually be allowed....its only IF they were a past creditor they'll start messing you aroundWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
barclays have been nothing but helpful with me too before and since BR (i also had no debt with Barclays before going BR). i set up my barclays basic account about 5 months before going to court for BR, moved my salary to being paid into it, DD's etc coming out. I explained to OR about it being basic, he had no interest in the account and didn't freeze it. I went to Barclays after I was declared BR and told them, it has made no difference, my wages are still paid in and my direct debits/standing orders are paid out.0
