basically it allows you to read those small cards that are found in digital cameras, some mobile phones mp3 players etc, mainly used for digital cameras I would say.
just plug it into the usb port and it has slots for the diff types of cards.

Some printers come with a card reader, I know mine does Epson R300. They are useful I also have a 9-1 is useful and saves turning printer on just to backup photos.

Thanks Seth and Dellboy but I have a USB which connects to my camera.
However, I've just bought a flash drive but I don't know how to use it!
I was trying to get things off my PC and to put them on my laptop!

blooming god timing,
my old one stopped working after i put win xp sp2 on......
now i can get the photos of my camera..... yippeeeesmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....
