Trying to "Up my income"??

Hey Peeps,

I’m hoping for a little advice, If anyone could help, Please feel free to post here!

I’m looking at making a little extra income before Christmas - maybe continue doing it after if I have the clients / Funds ect..

I thought I would start private cleaning, As I have the mornings / Some afternoon’s free, I have researched the area and although there is a small amount of people already doing it, I feel there is room for little old me! J

But im suck! I cant find anywhere to advertise!

That might sound crazy, But so far it seems there is only room on the internet!

I have been to 8 of our local stores, 3 being superstores, 2 day care nurseries, dental & medical practise. Each said the same thing, Sorry
but there is a massive waiting list!

I have also emailed our 3 local primary schools & 1 secondary and got told no.
So now im limited to how I advertise! Its resulted in me advertising on the internet, Word of mouth & a poster in the car!

I was told, That I should do fliers but I want to keep the start up cost down as much as I can.

So that I can “up my income”!!
Can anyone suggest where I can advertise to get exposure? :money:
Future goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy

Try classified ad in your local paper under Services - House Cleaning (or similar). Also search local papers to see if anyone is advertising for a cleaner.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Our local Tesco & Morrisons have a board for business cards, flyers on the way out.

Design some simple flyers on your computer and print them off (or print one and photocopy some) and leave in local shops, hairdressers, church notice boards, etc. Our local butcher has a wall of these to look at whilst waiting to be served.

Flyers could also be emailed to local businesses, these days there are lots of email addresses in Thompsons/Yellow Pages.

Schools are probably not an option as they probably use the local council's contract cleaners plus they would probably need you to be CRB checked even though you would be working outside school hours.
Freebies Received: Supersavvyme bag, Olay moisturiser, Barbara Daly/Tesco Mascara, Seeds of Change Choccie, Yorkshire Tea Kenyan teabags, Tesco mobile sim cards x 2.

    Won: Yorkshire Tea goodie box
